We are a young agency whose goal is to provide above-standard services to our students and a great work experience to our teachers. After spending time abroad, I decided to return to the Czech Republic and start my own agency. Extra Mile strives to provide our students the opportunity to have lessons with native speakers on regular basis. We bring native speakers from UK, US and other English speaking countries to experience life in the Czech Republic in a beautiful town of Říčany just 20 minutes away from Prague, the historical domain of Europe.

I’m Sara, a TEFL-certified native English speaker from Chicago, Illinois, USA, with a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management & Leadership from North Park University. Before moving to the Czech Republic in 2021, I worked in a variety of industries such as finance, philanthropy, and university education. I enjoy working with English language learning students from children to adults, I try to make my lessons fun and customized for the students, and I am very happy to be part of the Extra Mile team!

My name is Katerina and I’m both Czech and American. I lived in the USA for several years and worked in different work settings that gave me the opportunity to learn English. I attended a year-long course in one of Chicago’s colleges and also studied a few semesters in a public college in Cincinnati, Ohio. During the course of these years I also lived in Australia, moved to Hawaii and spent a month-long volunteering experience in Alaska. Once I moved back to the Czech Republic I worked for an American university in Prague. I’m really happy to be back in my native town of Ricany and help others to learn English because I know it’s not easy 🙂

My name is Saydi. I am an English teacher from a small island in Washington State, U.S.A. I have always had a love for travel and an interest in teaching English internationally. Before coming to Prague, I obtained my first TEFL certification, as well as a specialized certification in teaching young learners. I taught people from South and Central America, and helped them improve their conversation skills. After falling in love with Prague and moving there, I received my second TEFL certification at a local school, where I expanded my teaching experience and taught students from all different ages and backgrounds. I am very excited to take what I’ve learned and to share my knowledge with the students at Extra Mile.

Hello! I am Pati and I am very excited about being a member of the awesome Extra Mile team! The Czech Republic is a beautiful country, full of rich history and much diversity and I am very happy to be living here. Before moving to Prague, where I completed my second TEFL certification and taught students from different countries and levels, I owned a marketing and development business and provided accounting services. I have worked in many different industries and with people from all over the world, providing training for their jobs, activities, and preparation for citizenship requirements, which included learning and conversing in English. I’ve lived in many different parts of America and have travelled across the US and to several countries, where I have met many incredible people and experienced many wonderful things, of which all have brought me to where I am at now – teaching English. With my combined education and experience, I am looking forward to teaching and helping students to learn and improve their English skills so that they can have many successes in life.

My name is Jana, originally from sunny South Africa after which I lived in England for 9 years and from August 2021, I have been living in the beautiful Czech Republic with my husband and 2 young children. I have always had a love for traveling and experiencing new cultures. I have worked mainly in the Travel Industry and the Motor Industry and developed a passion for helping, training and coaching new members of staff. I am a native English speaker with a TEFL certification. I am excited to be part of the Extra Mile team and look forward to accompanying you on your journey to mastering the English language.

Hello everyone, I’m David! I’m a native English teacher from the United States with roots in Utah, Idaho, Wisconsin, and North Carolina, to name but a few! I received my Bachelor’s in Environmental Policy at Davidson College in North Carolina. After years spent working in solar policy, at the House Chamber in Washington, DC, and in environmental education, I shifted into recycling and sustainability policy. Based in Salt Lake City for five years, such work allowed me to continue developing my education skills in atypical ways – outreach, consulting, and permitting all demanded it.
With my heart set on formal education, and my soul in need of new geography, I earned my TEFL degree at The Langauge House in Prague, one of Europe’s top programs. Now, with experience teaching a variety of age groups and all skill levels, I’m so excited to be working with new students at Extra Mile!

Before moving to Prague in 2023, I worked as an assistant teacher at a private primary school for three years. I love to learn and love to teach others in a fun and creative way. I am so excited to be a part of the Extra Mile team and can’t wait to teach you!
I’m Mikayla, a TEFL-certified and YLT-certified native English speaker from Sydney, Australia. Before moving to the Czech Republic, I worked as an optical dispenser, gaining valuable experience in customer service and communication. I find teaching to be incredibly rewarding and enjoy working with students of all ages, from children to adults. With a particular passion for grammar, I strive to make my lessons engaging and tailored to each student’s needs. I’m excited to be a part of the Extra Mile team!
